June = Wellness Period 


The Volleyball Alberta indoor season of play ends on May 31. The start of the Athlete Wellness period begins on June 1. During this period, athletes are encouraged to focus on their physical fitness, conditioning, mental and social well-being. June 1 also marks the start of our outdoor season, and participation in beach and grass volleyball is recommended.


Please note that during the Athlete Wellness Period (Month of June), no formal offers can be made for the upcoming indoor club season during this time. Information can be searched on club websites about coaches and club offerings for the 22-23 season.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR ALL 4 WEEKS


Spots are limited, register now! 


These are developmental camps that focus on the basic skills and fitness levels for all athletes. Days will be filled with opportunities to connect with other campers and coaches, while learning new volleyball skills. 


Week 1 - accepting 36 athletes 

Saville Centre, July 4-8, 8am - 3pm (Ages 11-14)


Week 2 - accepting 36 athletes 

Saville Centre, July 11-15, 8am - 3pm (Ages 12-15)


Week 3 - accepting 80 athletes 

Rocky Mountain House, July 24-29, overnight camp✨ (Ages 12-15)


Week 4 - accepting 36 athletes 

Saville Centre, August 2-5, 8am - 4pm (Ages 13-16)


As of now, there is availability in all 4 weeks. If the registration reaches maximum capacity, a waitlist will open. When spots open, Volleyball Alberta will invite participants from the waitlist to register on a sequential priority basis

Youth Beach Programs - Edmonton

Volleyball Alberta is offering three youth beach program options this summer in Edmonton at our John Fry Park Beach Volleyball Courts.


  * Beginner Level Beach Skill Development 12U-14U

  * Youth Beach Skill Development 14U-17U

  * Youth 2's coed League Nights 14U-17U


June sessions start this week!

Volleyball Alberta's beach tournament series starts May 28 in Edmonton and will run throughout the summer capping off with provincials in Calgary August 6 – 7.

Volleyball Alberta requires Players, Coaches, Referees, and Club Staff to become members prior to registering and participating in any Volleyball Alberta or affiliated Club program and event.


Are you going from indoor to beach? If so, please make sure to add the Beach Membership Type to your existing Sportlomo Account > Volleyball Alberta Membership > Member ID > upgrade/add category.


Volleyball Alberta's event and program registrations have membership prerequisites. To sign up & register or to upgrade/add the beach membership type to your existing Volleyball Alberta Membership > Member ID, please follow the instructions in this guide:

 International Coaching Symposium

Calgary will host an International Coaching Symposium to coincide with the upcoming Women's Volleyball Nations League, the event will showcase some of the greatest volleyball coaches and sport leaders in the world.


Canada’s women’s head coach Shannon Winzer will be featured alongside Karch Kiraly (USA), Giovanni Guidetti (TUR), Daniele Santarelli (SRB), Vital Heynen (GER), Cari Din (CAN), among others.


The seminar will also include a "Women in Leadership" panel session to inspire and empower women in the field. The sessions will take place from June 28 to July 1, registration includes VNL ticket options.
