CAMP SEASON IS HERE! I am excited about the next two months as we have our association camps. I am looking forward to what God is going to do in the lives of the campers. As we prepare for our camps that will begin in a couple of weeks, I want to encourage each of you to pray for our camps. Pray that God will use the Camp Missionaries as they minister to the campers. Pray for the campers that they will

clearly hear God speak to them and that God will do a work in their lives. We have mailed a letter to our churches last week asking each church to either prepare and serve a meal or to purchase supply items that are needed. I want to encourage all the Parents in our churches to send your children to our camps. I would also like to encourage our churches to send children to the camps who are un-churched that you have been trying to reach. The applications are on our website and have been posted on our Facebook page. We also mailed applications to each of the Pastors. Please get the applications to our office soon. We would like to have them in our office by June 16 th . We are also in need of volunteers for the camps. If you are interested in helping, the camp missionary applications are on our website, or you can come by our office to pick one up. This camp ministry is one of the greatest things we do together. May God do a mighty work!

I want to encourage each of you to be in prayer for our Southern Baptist Convention. I will be attending this year and I believe this meeting will be the defining moment of the future of our convention. Some of you may have been following the things that have been taking place and what has been evident is that there is disunity among us. My own personal convictions in regard to what is taking place in our convention is that I hold true to the word of God that speaks on moral and ethical issues and I pray that we get back to the solid conservative Biblical values that guide us to be the bride of Christ that God is calling us to be. We have been a convention of churches that has had a great impact on the world in reaching people with the Gospel. I pray we can continue to be a mighty army of God that continues the task God has called us too. Please urgently pray for our convention!

I am looking forward to getting around to some of our churches that are having a VBS this summer. Please be in prayer for each church that will hold a Vacation Bible School. I am praying that many children and youth will be reached with the Gospel!

This certainly will be a very busy and exciting summer for our association. I am grateful for each church and each Pastor! Please know that I am praying for each of you and I am here to support you in any way that I can!
