Valley Party Supply opened its doors in 1950 as Valley Distributing.

A little history lesson on Valley. Valley was established as Valley Distributing in 1950 and was only open to clubs, churches and organizations. We sold tobacco, frozen foods, bulk canned goods and bulk candies for parades. In 1995, Wabash Foodservice bought Valley and renamed it Valley Cash & Carry, opening it up to the public for the first time in it’s history. This is why RIBFEST was established. Ribfest was created to let the people of Vincennes know we were now open to the public. When I took over as manager in 2015, we did a complete makeover and renamed ourselves as Valley Party Supply, finding a unique niche for balloon décor and party supplies in the area. We continue to this day, to carry a wide array of groceries, bulk frozen and dry foods, including Styrofoam and catering supplies, party supplies, balloons and party rentals.  

We are truly a unique business in this community, as we are a sort of one-stop-party-shop without the cake. We literally have everything you might need to throw an event, party, gathering, etc. One very special thing we are, is Woman Owned. Wabash Foodservice owns Valley Party Supply and therefore are Woman Owned, which is a very special position to be in, in the foodservice industry as it’s very rare. We are locally owned and operated, which makes decision making very easy. We are able to handle things swiftly and get answers for our customers incredibly fast. We also now service the SNAP EBT customer, so that they can have access to bulk foods as well. 

Valley recently undertook the most challenging and exciting event we have ever done. We were proudly the very first balloon company in the United States to bring The Big Balloon Build to America, as the host. With no less than 2 years of major planning and orchestration, Valley Party Supply, Wabash Foodservice and United Way Of Knox County pulled off the most amazing Balloon Wonderland making history with the largest ever food drive the city has ever seen, with over 14,000 pounds of food bring brought in for more than 13 food pantries. Valley Party Supply was thrilled to bring 65 balloon professionals from around the world to create this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our community to see Balloons with a Purpose and help bring JOY to thousands of people. We are very proud of this effect we were able to create, and humbled that we could give back to our community, which has supported us over the years and allowed us to keep our doors open. It’s always been in our nature to give back, and this was a big way of doing so for us and the community. 

Valley has continued to grow in the direction of customer demand, including yard cards, which became very popular during COVID, for shut-ins, hospital staff, support to first responders and more. We continue to grow and develop through education for professional balloon décor and party ideas. We will continue to serve the community by offering EBT, event rentals, party supplies and décor, and being your one-stop-party-shop for convenience.
