MESSAGE FROM MAYOR PRIBONIC

Dear Residents,

I want to extend my best wishes to you and your families for a wonderful summer ahead! Our celebrations are returning to normal, and our values have not changed: spending time with friends, carrying on traditions, showing love, and visiting family.

We have an abundance of fun family events coming up during our Celebrate Stow Week, which runs from June 25 – through July 4. We are so excited to bring to you our Stow Fourth of July Parade – live and in person!! This year’s theme is Celebrate Together, #CelebrateStow! I am honored and pleased to announce longtime resident and community advocate, Tom Stephan as our Parade Grand Marshal! A concert on the Green, Fun in Stow Play Day and Patriotic Pedal are among the many other events we are hosting. Click here for the full listing.

As we move ahead in 2022, my goals for the year ahead continue to include focusing on the needs of our residents, keeping our city at the forefront of economic and business development, building strong partnerships with our local businesses, and supporting departments that keep our neighborhoods safe, while enhancing our quality of life.

I am excited to report that we continue to invest in the infrastructure in our community, making steady progress on our improvements initiatives. Ultimately, our goal is to provide the best services to our residents, and to make sure our community is sustainable. Ongoing initiatives include:

·       City Center Project – Skip Playground construction underway
·       Spring & Summer Road re-paving program underway
·       Sidewalk construction project underway
·       Continuation of Park and Facility Improvements

Soon the final report for the Master Plan of all parks and recreational facilities and programs will be completed. And, I look forward to sharing that with you all.

It’s not just about today – it’s about our future. Together, we are moving Stow forward! I pledge to continue my accessibility to our residents and businesses. Your ideas, input and feedback are so very beneficial in understanding the concerns of our community. I have the best interest of Stow at heart and I hope you do as well.

Sincerely,

John Pribonic
