Headline
The stone veneer is well underway at Headline in Harpswell. The stone will highlight the front door, leading guests into the house. Guests will also find the stone on the great room fireplace and chimney. The large Douglas Fir beam spans the breezeway and will be anchored by the stone veneer. Construction by Thorner Building Corp.
Kennebunk Barn
DMA presented a project in front of the Kennebunk Historic District that involved a tear down of an old barn and the design of a new "barn" with a two-car garage below, and a great room connected to the kitchen above. There is also a loft that looks out over the great room and out to the marsh and Kennebunk River beyond. Approval was granted and now DMA is working on detailed drawings.
On the Drawing Board
It took right up to the deadline, but we received a building permit from the town of Ogunquit so our client can begin building just in time for their arrival into Maine. We are looking forward to the transformation of an old 70's style house into a more appealing in-town house. We were required to keep elements like foundations and roof lines, but we are happy with the result.
Kennebec Terrace
Thermory siding is being installed at the Kennebunk Terrace in Bath. Vertical siding is installed on a rain screen that will help dry the siding from both sides. The corner windows are highlighted by the trim, and the view from the windows is wonderful. Construction by Chartier Building and Remodeling.
Views from the Jobsite
A 9,000 sf office and warehouse for Warren Mechanical has siding and windows being installed by Optimum Construction. The metal building will provide additional office space for the engineering team, as well as additional storage space for the mechanics.
