Every year I am asked what I would like for Christmas. Gifts we give each other are a sign of sharing the love of Christ as we celebrate his birth. Gifts are extremely personal. My response when asked is, "Peace on earth, and good will towards all." This year, my husband gave me a T-Shirt with the image you see here. I wear it proudly and continue to pray that we may all know peace in our time. When we pray for peace, find peace within and share peace with others, it can happen.
Peace, pass it on.

Instead, in every situation with prayer and petition with thanksgiving,
tell your requests to God.
And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6

"Beneath the noise and haste, there is peace;
amidst the strife and anger, there is calm;
for every wound, for every hurt, there is healing;
for within it all is God, calling us to him."

Lord, make us instruments
of your peace. Where there is hatred,
let us sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
