That ontrac Employment Resource Services offers FREE professional employment services to job seekers and employers and is a continuing partner in employment services to the communities of Arnprior (1999), Renfrew (2018) and Smiths Falls (2002). Our staff are Certified Career Professionals with designations recognized across Canada.  ontrac supports job seekers in achieving their short-term and long-term employment goals and supports employers/businesses with their hiring and training needs including job search, resume development, workshop, interview preparation, apprenticeship opportunities, job matching and retraining options.

ontrac is part of the Employment Ontario network and services are available to all residents of Ontario, regardless of age, level of education or past work experience. If you are looking for work, need assistance developing your career plan or thinking about re-training, ontrac can help!

The Chamber Board of Directors continues to meet in person and by Zoom meetings. Our next Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday August 15 2023, beginning at 8:00 a.m.in the the Town of Renfrew Upstairs Boardroom.

The temporary Provincial Antigen Screening Program (PASP) played a pivotal role in the province’s emergency pandemic response by providing people with easy access to free rapid antigen tests (RATs) when COVID-19 infection volumes were at their peak and extensive access to testing was essential to stopping its spread. With the lower rates of COVID-19, high vaccination rates, and demand for RATs consistently

decreasing, the province will be winding down its RAT programs on June 30, 2023.

While supplies last, we will continue to distribute from the Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce office. Currently our Chamber has a very good supply of rapid test kits. When our stock is depleted, businesses will be required to purchase through retailers. Please contact the Chamber office to order your test kits at Chamber Office
