CALL FOR LASOS CAMP VOLUNTEERS!

LASOS Kids Summer Camp

Fri., June 30

8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Home Office (Pavilion)

HMIG has been a longtime supporter of LASOS (Linking All So Others Succeed). LASOS is a non-profit organization that offers adult and family literacy classes and at-risk youth mentoring for non-native English-speaking residents of Harford County.

This year, the organization was in need of space for its kids summer camp on Friday, June 30, so HMIG has offered to host it at our Pavilion. To make this day of camp great, LASOS needs HMIG volunteers to help out!

If you would like to volunteer for the day, email Emily Cavey by Friday, June 23. This is a great way to use your Volunteer PTO hours!!

If you are unable to volunteer on Friday -- LASOS needs volunteers Mon. - Thurs. this summer at Bel Air High School to read to kids and participate in science, art, stadium, and/or theatre activities. Reach out to Emily Cavey if you'd like to volunteer.

CALL FOR HOME RUNS VOLUNTEERS!

Harford Family House

Home Runs for the Homeless

Tues., July 25

3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Ripken Stadium

Swing for the fences! Home Runs for the Homeless benefiting Harford Family House is set at Ripken Stadium.

It's a charity home run derby to raise funds and awareness for those experiencing homelessness in Harford County.

HMIG is once again the presenting sponsor for the event, and we have 2 teams of 4 that we need to fill. That's where YOU come in!

We are looking for 8 volunteers to step up to the plate!

If you are interested in participating, email to Emily Cavey by Friday, June 16. If there is more interest than spots available, batters will be randomly selected.

HMIG players will not need to use Volunteer PTO hours but will need to fill out a Volunteer Request Form and Volunteer Waiver.
