Another School Year Comes to a Close

Congratulations on the completion of another fantastic school year! We are so proud of all the work that you have accomplished. Each year we are faced with new challenges. You have continued to be flexible and kept the students and their success a priority. During the pandemic, we learned a whole new way of reaching our students and providing the meaningful, relevant instruction they need. Now post-pandemic obstacles in regards to student achievement, sociocultural paradigm shifts, and educational processes have become the hurdles schools face. We are learning new ways to reach our students and meet their academic and social/emotional needs. Many schools have taken on the initiative to implement blended learning options that utilize technology in effective and innovative ways in the classroom. Student engagement is a key component to success and teachers have developed new and creative ways to foster this during their instruction. Lessons are more relevant to student experience and rigorous to meet high expectations for learning. The growth that educators have shown this year is exponentially greater than a typical, pre-pandemic, year of development. We applaud you and will continue to celebrate all the hard work you do to improve life chances for all our students.

2023 Building/District Test Coordinators

THANK YOU! for the countless hours that went into preparing for and conducting this year’s state testing programs: ILEARN, IREAD-3, Ohio State Tests, WIDA, ACT, SAT, WorkKeys, PSAT, M-STEP, NWEA and MI-Access. Among the many tasks that you were responsible for: pre-identfiying students, ordering & returning materials, assessment scheduling & test administrator training, creating test sessions, assigning student supports & accommodations, printing & securing test tickets, overseeing technology used for testing, troubleshooting, and test & student verifications. This enormous task would not be possible without the work that you do and your attention to details.

The Summer of Self-Care

Summer self-care is vital for maintaining overall well-being and ensuring a fulfilling season. With the hot weather and increased outdoor activities, it is easy to neglect self-care habits. However, taking care of oneself during summer is critical for physical, mental, and emotional health. Adequate hydration, sun protection, healthy eating, and regular exercise are essential self-care practices during this time. Additionally, taking time to rest, relax, and engage in enjoyable activities can help reduce stress levels and improve overall mood. Prioritizing summer self-care can lead to a more enjoyable and fulfilling season.
