We've Had a Busy Spring

Age-Friendly Teaneck marked Older Americans Month in May by co-hosting an informational program on Bergen County's Ride Connect program and launching our Project Coordinator's Matter of Balance fall-prevention class at the Rodda Center. We also joined with Bergen County in its kick-off of a Dementia-Friendly initiative, held a preliminary meeting for our new advisory board, and began interviewing high school students for our summer Careers in Aging Exploration Internship. Stay tuned for what promises to be an eventful summer.

This Saturday - Event Hopes to Raise Awareness of Elder Abuse

Saturday, June 3

9 am to 12 pm

Overpeck County Park Amphitheater, Ridgefield Park

Bergen County Division of Senior Services will hold its second annual Elder Abuse Awareness Walk. Age-Friendly Teaneck and The Bright Side Family will be among the organizations "tabling" at this event, which offers information about programs and services that can help keep older adults safe and secure.

Upcoming Master Plan Meeting and Revaluation Information

Teaneck has appointed a Master Plan Steering Committee. Come to this public meeting to learn more

Wednesday, June 14

Teaneck Library Auditorium

Teaneck is revaluing all real estate for the 2024 tax year. The Township has contracted with Appraisal Systems, Inc. to conduct the home and property assessments. Representatives will carry photo identification and their names will be registered with the Police Department and the Township Clerk’s office.
