Hello!
To commemorate Pride Month, PILI is spotlighting some of our Participating Agencies - those organizations at which we place our Law Student Interns & Graduate Fellows - that fight for equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community. These organizations have changed the legal landscape for those in the LGBTQ+ community in Illinois and across the United States. Check out our post here.

Save the date for PILI's Alumni Reception at The Gage from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10th. All of PILI's supporters and friends are welcome to join us to welcome the newest class of Interns and Fellows to our Alumni Network at this event. Get your tickets today and join us in celebration!

We are also planning CLE programs, pro bono clinics and our Intern & Fellow Summer Educational Seminar Series. Details are below and you can always find a list of upcoming events on our website. We hope to see you over the next month!

Sincerely,
Thank you to all who made the
Annual Pro Bono Reception a success!
We are most grateful to this year's event sponsors for their generous support!!

At the event, we honored 44 law firms and corporations that have helped to ensure that individuals, families and communities who are in need receive legal services. Read more about our 2023 Pro Bono Recognition Roster here.

We also celebrated five volunteers who were named to PILI’s 2023 Pro Bono Volunteer Honor Roll. Those recognized through our Honor Roll have been chosen for their volunteer contributions through PILI's pro bono opportunities. Read more about our honorees and what motivates them to do pro bono here.

At PILI, we believe that equal access to justice is a fundamental right. The legal community - law students, lawyers, judges and other legal professionals - have an ethical obligation to ensure this right is accessible for people with unmet legal needs. And we all know that we work best when we work together. That's why PILI’s theme for 2023 is "A Community of Service".
