June Chapter 6 of 12 in 2024 

Our 4-H year 2023-24 is coming to its close. Congratulations to our 4-H'ers graduating high school or being promoted forward to middle and high school. Life is full of growth and change, so remember to embrace it with enthusiasm! Enjoy your summer break and keep THRIVING. Be observant for new SPARKS around every corner. Choose your own road to follow! Take a break, nature is calling


Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable!

A HUGE Thank you to Lakeport Kiwanis Club and the community for turning out to the pancake breakfast!

Our 4-H members work so hard for this yearly fundraiser and we thank everyone who participated and helped make it a success!!!

  • Sparks: Providing a place where youth can find and explore what sparks their interest.
  • Belonging: Creating spaces of belonging—where ALL kids feel welcome and physically and emotionally safe.
  • Relationships: Nurturing positive, supportive and empowering relationships between youth and adults and youth and their peers.
  • Engagement: Challenging and encouraging youth to pursue their own learning and growth. Promoting active engagement where youth have a voice.

July 22, 2024


Council meetings are via zoom and our held the 4th Monday of the month six times a year at 6:00 p.m. Please watch your newsletters for when the next meeting will be.


Please send a representative for your club’s input and updates. Provide an email address for the office to send zoom link and reminder.

FAMILY Fun Day/Achievement Awards October 5, 2024


This year we decided to celebrate our members achievements with a family fun day at That Ranch!!


We have made arrangement to have not only our Achievement Celebration for the 2023/2024 4-H Program year there, but then also offer admission and tickets to all of the activities they offer for our families!! The event will take place October 5, 2024 with more details to come!!

X. Participation at Non 4-H Fairs


To exhibit at state fair or county fairs, 4-H members must be a member in good standing, complete a minimum of six (6) hours of project instruction or more as required by the project leader, the Annual Project Report (APR) and additional requirements as determined by the county 4-H YDP. Notification of county 4-H YDP requirements must be given to the member at the time of enrollment. See resources: 4-H Annual Project Plan template and Sample 4-H Annual Project Plan .


Exhibiting at the state fair, county fairs or other exhibition events may have certain entrance requirements separate from the

4-H YDP.
