Dear Families and Friends of John Paul II Center,
The past few weeks have been incredibly busy and rewarding for our center! We celebrated a beautiful First Communion ceremony in early May for five program participants: Mark, Yanitza, Salome, Olyver and Maria. It was a heartwarming experience to witness them reach this significant milestone in their faith journey.
Our students were also thrilled to participate in a fantastic Field Day hosted by All Abilities Fitness Center, LLC. The event was filled with fun activities, and everyone enjoyed the special treat of Rita's Water Ice, making it a day to remember.
Our current fundraiser, "Time is Running Out," is crucial in helping us continue providing exceptional programs and services for our students. Please consider contributing and spreading the word.
Our adult participants have been actively engaging in community trips, enriching their experiences, and fostering greater independence. These outings are vital to our program, promoting social skills and community involvement.
We joyfully celebrated the graduation of Jeremiah, Bella, Justin, and Aaron. The ceremony was made even more special with the presence of Father Hoffa and Mrs. K. It was an honor for me to be a part of this memorable event and to see the pride in our graduates' eyes as they received their certificates.
This month, we also bid a heartfelt farewell to Mr. Mike and Mrs. K, who are retiring. Their dedication and passion have left an indelible mark on our center, and we will all greatly miss them.
As we prepare for our Extended School Year (ESY) program, our staff works diligently to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for our returning students. We are excited to welcome them back soon and continue our mission of fostering growth and learning for all participants. Thank you to our Legacy Gala donors who supported our Fund A Need that allows our private pay students to attend the program at no cost. This is the first year that we are able to offer this funding and our students (and their families) are very excited!
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our community. Together, we continue to make a difference in the lives of our exceptional learners.
With warmest regards,
Mrs. Kaylee Simcik, M. Ed.
