River Cities Central Office Intergroup

The Central Office is a place where the Intergroup Board Officers are voted into position. The Central Office bylaws states that all positions have to be voted on on an annual basis. Ballots were sent out to Intergroup reps via email or can be picked up at the Central Office. Ballots must be turned in no later than June 10th 6pm. For more information contact Debra 928-763-4499.

Proposed Amendments to the By-Laws for the River Cities Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous

History: Currently the voting members of the Board are the Chair, Co-Chair/Intergroup Liaison, Treasurer, Secretary and Office Manager. The Chair votes only to break a tie; if two (2) or more members of the current Board are absent there is no quorum. In that case, no meeting can be held. Acceptance of the proposed Amendments brings the Board to seven (7) members.

These Amendments were proposed and voted on by River Cities Intergroup Members at the April 8, 2024, meeting. We ask all River Cities Intergroup Representatives to bring these Amendments to their Home Group Business Meeting for review and a vote to approve/disapprove. Please bring your homegroup vote back to the Intergroup Meeting scheduled for June 10, 2024.

Proposed Amendment #1:

Amend the current bylaws of the Board of River Cities Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous to include the River Roundup Chairperson and the Activities Coordinator, as voting members of the River Cities Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Proposed Amendment #2 (contingent on the approval of Proposed Amendment #1):

A Quorum of the Board of River Cities Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous shall consist of four (4) voting members.

2025 A.A. International Convention

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Taking place once every five years, the A.A. International Convention marks the anniversary of Bill W.’s first meeting with Dr. Bob and the birth of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935.
