Summer is Official!

Nothing says summer like splashing at Coral Cove Water Park or playing a round at Coyote Crossing Mini Golf. At Coral Cove, kids laugh, swim, and play all day while parents relax poolside. The Cove Concessions is popular for poolside food and snacks and our special Wave refreshers! It’s the go-to spot for swim lessons, birthday parties and private rentals. Over at Coyote Crossing, families enjoy 18 holes of mini golf, yard games, concessions, and birthday parties too! Host a small gathering in Cody’s Den or reserve the pavilion—or rent the entire course for a private event. Summer fun is in full swing! Visit our website to see our many themed days and events!

Meet Our Newly Elected Commissioners!

Get to know the fresh perspectives and goals our newly elected Commissioners are bringing to the Board Room. We’re excited to welcome Katie Becker, Jen Pauling, and Adam Parisi (re-elected to a second term) as they begin their service to the community. Each brings unique experience and enthusiasm, and we look forward to their contributions in shaping the future of the Park District.

At the May Board Meeting, we also bid a fond farewell to Brenda Gramann and Brian Sokolowski, who retired from the Board after 24 years of dedicated service. We are grateful for their leadership, time and commitment to the Park District and community. Their guidance has helped pave the way for continued growth and progress.

Armstrong Park Butterfly Garden Collaboration

Director of Parks Shane Hamilton and Alison Mezera (Girl Scout leader) coordinated the installation of a butterfly pollinator garden at Armstrong Park by Girl Scout Cadette Troop #1539. After discussing logistics, a final garden location was selected near the pickleball courts with access to water. The Parks staff prepped the site by tilling the soil and adding compost. The troop planted the garden in late May and roped off the area to protect it.

Volunteer Spotlight

Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Month! Volunteers are essential to the success of the Park District!

Skate Park at Hampe is Closed

Once again, vandals struck at the skate park, making it unsafe and unwelcoming for the kids and community members who enjoy using the space. Our team is working to clean up the damage and assess repairs, but repeated incidents like this impact everyone. We ask for your help in reporting suspicious activity and respecting park property so we can keep our spaces safe and enjoyable for all.

Coral Cove & Park District Patrons

Help us keep your family’s bikes safe this summer—take a moment to teach your kids how to properly lock up their bikes at our facilities. Check out this fun and helpful reel with step-by-step instructions!

We don’t want bikes “swimming away” at the water park or disappearing from our parks and buildings. Let’s all do our part to keep our community safe!
