Summer is here and we hope you are busy reading great books and making great memories with your kids! Many local libraries and bookstores offer summer reading incentives for children.

The Texas Association for the Education of Young Children and BookSpring have launched the statewide Books Beginning at Birth program. This program is designed to bring books into the homes of children from birth through age 4.

Families with children ages 0 to 4 can apply to have free, diverse, high-quality books delivered to their homes. All families can access free digital books and other at-home literacy activities through the website. Families and caregivers may also call the toll free number, (888) 952-9572, to sign up.

In order for us to have school safely, anyone with symptoms of any illness must remain at home. Please monitor your child's health and the persons in your student's household to ensure that measles, RSV, flu, COVID, and other illnesses are not introduced into our buildings. Vaccines are free or low cost through the Dallas County Health Dept. and are the most effective way to prevent the spread of illness. Please take advantage of available resources and follow the guidance of your physician, the local health departments and the CDC to ensure the health and safety of your family and our school.
