President's Message

Dear PVRW members and friends,

The United States finds itself at a pivotal moment - facing challenges at home and abroad that test our resolve, our values, and our vision for the future.

This month has seen a stark contrast in public demonstrations across the country. In Washington, D.C., competing visions of America played out in real time: demonstrations emphasizing progressive ideals and the disingenuous cry of No Kings, were followed by a powerful military parade marking the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary and pride in America.

These events underscore the deep ideological divide in our nation - between those who

seek to redefine America’s founding principles and those who stand firm in defending

them. In a dramatic escalation of the Middle East conflict, President Trump announced that U.S. forces have conducted precision airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites. We

are watching history being made. We all pray this will be the start of peace for the

region.

As patriotic women, we know that preserving our freedoms requires vigilance, courage,

and unity. Whether it’s standing up for traditional values, supporting our troops, or

holding our leaders accountable, our voices matter.

Mark Your Calendars: AZFRW Biennial Convention October 9-11

Our AZFRW Biennial Convention will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Mesa, AZ. This event is open to all members. It's shaping up to be an exciting, impactful gathering.

If you’re interested in attending, please let me know. We need volunteers to help with

registration and raffles, and we also want to ensure you’re certified as a voting

delegate so you can help shape the future of our organization—including casting your

vote for bylaw changes and the AZFRW 2026–2027 Executive Committee.

Please Note: We will be taking a summer break in July and August. However,

committee meetings will continue, and important updates will be shared via email. Be

sure to stay tuned and stay connected.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, let us remember that freedom is not just a gift from

the past - it is a responsibility we carry into the future. From the courage of our

Founding Fathers to the quiet determination of every American who votes, serves, and

speaks up today, independence lives through us.

Let’s raise our flags high, not just as symbols, but as promises.....to our families, our

faith, and our country. May this Independence Day rekindle our pride, our purpose, and

our unwavering commitment to the American dream.

God Bless America. Stay safe.

PVRW Board Updates

Michal Joyner: 1st VP, Programs

Summer is here ladies! I hope you all have something wonderful planned for the next few months to endure or avoid the heat.

Our June meeting was amazing. Joseph Chaplik was scheduled to speak, but the voting times at the legislature keep changing by the hour. At the last minute he had to cancel. I assured him that we all supported his efforts, and he has been rescheduled for our September meeting.

I was able to reach out to Karrin Taylor Robson to ask her to speak. She rearranged her schedule to come to our Club and share her vision on the Governor's race. Thank you, Karrin. In addition, AZFRW President, Pat Lorenzen, joined us to give us an update on the State meeting. Our final speaker was Irene PI. She shared shocking information about vaccines. I believe everyone in the room was spellbound as she shared her data. Her info can be viewed HERE.

We will resume our meetings on September 17th. Representative Joseph Chaplik and Senator John Kavanaugh will share updates and thoughts on the legislative session. We will also feature Al Lorenz, co-chair of the Fountain Hills Dark Sky Preservation Board. His topic will update us on the opening of the new Fountain Hills observatory that is nearing completion. This will be an amazing educational opportunity to enjoy our stars and planets closer to home. Currently, the closest telescopes are in Flagstaff and Tucson.

When we resume in September, we must all commit to working to get our electable Republicans both on the ballot and through the finish gate. I’m tired of losing General Elections to radical Democrats, and I hope you are as well.

See you in September.

AZFEC: Arizona Voters Will Vote On First-In-The-Nation

Protection Against Vehicle Mileage Taxes

Arizona keeps proving that freedom isn’t just a slogan here - it’s a working principle. AZ opened the door for families nationwide when they created the first-in-the-nation Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program back in 2011, later expanding it to universal eligibility in 2022.

If you value the same freedom on the road that we already champion in our schools, take a moment to read the Arizona Free Enterprise Club’s article below.

The “Freedom to Move” ballot referral is Senate Concurrent Resolution 1004 (SCR 1004), transmitted to the Secretary of State on June 16, 2025, placing the proposed constitutional amendment on Arizona’s November 2026 general-election ballot.
