What an incredible "Month of Miracles" for the nine Central Valley Costco warehouses this May! Preliminary total from the point-of-sale fundraising campaign currently stands at $505,018, with an additional corporate match from Costco still to come.

Each warehouse rolled out the red carpet for our Valley Children's kid captains. Abigail (Turlock), Sylus (West Fresno), Finley (Clovis), Luke (Merced), Joaquin and Julian (Riverbank), Maddox (Hanford), Cami (North Fresno), Kendra (Visalia), and Willem (Modesto) were welcomed like stars! These amazing kids and their families had a blast visiting their local warehouses and personally thanking the dedicated teams and generous members who continue to support Valley Children's Hospital through Children's Miracle Network.

We eagerly await the final campaign total, including the corporate match, expected in August. We are beyond grateful for Costco's unwavering support over the past 35 years, they truly make miracles happen.

We are sincerely honored and eternally grateful to have received a significant legacy gift from the trust of Ms. Gloria M. Baldrick.

Gloria, who passed away at the age of 95, grew up in Hanford and spent her later years traveling the world. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her many cousins, a nephew, niece, goddaughter, and many close friends. This heartfelt gift will have a lasting impact on the children and families we serve. Gloria's dedication to the health and well-being of the community will continue to inspire future generations. We extend our deepest thanks to Gloria and her family for this meaningful contribution, and we are privileged to carry forward their vision of hope and care.

On Friday, May 16, Valley Children's proudly hosted the 4th Annual Cancer Survivorship Scholarship Ceremony, honoring the recipients from the Fresno Truck Center Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program. These inspiring young individuals have triumphed over significant health challenges and are now pursuing their academic dreams thanks to the generous support of our donors.

Since the program's launch, the Cancer Survivorship Scholarship Fund has grown substantially, from just 13 applicants in 2022 to 71 applicants in 2025. At the heart of this initiative is Dr. John Gates, a pediatric cancer survivor himself, whose personal experience has guided the program’s growth and success.

Thanks to nearly $275,000 in contributions from our dedicated donors, the fund is easing the financial burden for childhood cancer survivors striving for higher education.

This program's impact is a testament to the power of community support. With each new scholarship awarded, we are helping survivors take the next step toward achieving their academic and career goals, setting them on a path to success.

We are deeply grateful to California State Prison (CSP) Corcoran for raising more than $10,000 during their 2025 Cancer Walk in support of Valley Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. This marks the second year we’ve been fortunate to benefit from this impactful event.

When asked why they chose to support Valley Children’s, CSP Corcoran shared their commitment to engaging with the local community and finding meaningful ways to give back. Their generosity will help ensure that children battling cancer receive the specialized care they need. Thank you, CSP Corcoran, for walking alongside us and standing up for our kids.

The Stockbridge Family Legacy Fund, established in 2019, has been a generous supporter of Valley Children's Healthcare for the past six years. For the last three years, we’ve been honored to benefit from their annual Spring Sing event. This year’s celebration, held on May 17, featured a lively performance by DJ Autumn Leilani and brought together a community committed to making a difference.

Thanks to their continued dedication, the Stockbridge Family Legacy Fund has supported key areas across our hospital, including DC4KIDS, the Laval Angel Fund, and the NICU. This year, their generous $8,000 donation will specifically support the NICU as well as our Water Safety Program. We were proud to have Ken Ramos, President of the Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation Board, attend this year's event and accept the donation on our behalf. We are deeply grateful for the Stockbridge family's ongoing commitment to our mission.

On Saturday, May 3rd, the Eta Xi Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity at CSU Stanislaus hosted their annual "Warriorthon" in support of Valley Children's Hospital. Warriorthon is part of the Children's Miracle Network's Dance Marathon program, uniting students to raise vital funds for their local children's hospital. This year's event was packed with fun activities, games and a raffle, making it a day to remember for the students and some of Valley Children's patients.

Thanks to the dedication of the Phi Mu sisters and the generosity of all who participated, an impressive $5,657 was raised! A heartfelt thank you to Phi Mu and everyone who helped make this event a success.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the United States Gypsum (USG) Company Foundation for their continued support through their annual Give Local program. This year, Valley Children's was proud to receive a $5,000 donation from USG, helping us to further our mission of providing the highest quality care to children and families throughout the Valley. It is through partnerships like this that we are able to improve and expand the vital services we offer. Thank you, USG, for being a part of our journey and for believing in the power of giving locally.

On May 16th, over 130 employees from 31 Walmart and Sam's Club locations across the Central Valley gathered at Valley Children's Hospital for the annual Children's Miracle Network Campaign kickoff. We celebrated their outstanding accomplishment of raising $541,955 in 2024, marking another record-breaking year!

We honored the Top 10 fundraising stores of 2024, with Walmart #4238 in Sanger earning the #1 spot for the third consecutive year. Attendees also heard inspiring talks from Mara Baldwin, Valley Children's music therapist; Jerica Secula, from our Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Center; and Aimiel Casillan, a genetic counselor with our Precision Medicine Program. Our 2025 CMN champion, Sylus, along with his mom, Sarah, shared their moving story and expressed gratitude to the associates for supporting children like Sylus.

The 2025 Walmart and Sam's Club CMN campaign runs from June 9th to July 6th. Be sure to visit your local store to thank the team for the dedication or join one of the many community events happening throughout the campaign.
