Construction Update

The new double-door entrance is scheduled to be completed by the end of May. Construction on the toddler playground is expected to begin on June 5, and the EC playground on June 18. We plan to enjoy splash days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in June until the playgrounds close.

During playground renovations, carpool will drop off and pick up at the renovated parking lot entrance. Please be patient; there will be one line and you will be waiting longer.

If you arrive outside your drop-off or pick-up window, please continue to come to the Heights entrance. The general contractor will continue to work in the school's front office until construction is completed.

Why Gala?

Thank you so much to our incredibly generous community for supporting the 2025 Gala and Auction. We are eternally grateful to each and every one of you for helping to make this year’s event a huge success!

We are often asked, "Where does the money raised go?" Private, not-for-profit schools rely on philanthropic contributions to meet annual operating budgets. While tuition dollars cover most expenses, they do not cover all of them, leaving a gap in the budget. Annual operating expenses, which include facility costs, are more significant than tuition dollars, and that's why we depend on fundraising dollars.

We ask families and friends, with room in their budgets, to give generously to make up the difference. Participation demonstrates a commitment to the school and its mission. While tuition dollars are not tax-deductible, donations are.

These contributions help cover the costs of financial aid, enrichment programs (Music Together, Stretch and Grow), in-house field trips (Polar Express, Go Texan Day, Reptile Show, Texas Bubblers, Museum of Natural Science, Mad Science), parent and family events (Parent Breakfasts, Fall Fest, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Tea, Mother's Day, Father's Day), required teacher and staff professional development, and Montessori certification support, among other items.

It is a gift that our community comes together once a year in a significant way to support our school and our children. We thank you for all you do to keep our Montessori school one of the best in the city!

I'm Andrew, proud dad to Jade, incoming to the Toddler community this summer, and Cam in EC Down. My wife Jess and I have been part of the St. Andrew's community for about a year now, and we absolutely love the teachers, staff, and Montessori approach. Professionally, I've held various roles in the Upstream sector at ExxonMobil. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and exploring new restaurants.
