Dear Big “I” WV Members,
It’s hard to believe we’re already into August. Summer always seems to go by a little faster each year, and with kids heading back to school soon, it’s a reminder that another summer is quickly coming to an end.
I hope everyone has had an opportunity over the past couple of months to slow down a little, spend time with family and friends, take a vacation, or simply enjoy some of the great things West Virginia has to offer. Our business can keep us busy year-round, so hopefully summer provided everyone at least a little time to recharge before we head into the fall.
I also want to highlight the Big I WV Women’s Retreat, held July 23–24 in Charleston. It was great to see such a strong group of women from across our industry come together for two days of networking, professional development, and fellowship. Events like this are an important part of what Big I WV is all about—giving our members opportunities to build relationships, learn from one another, and strengthen the independent agency system across our state. Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, sponsored, and helped make the retreat a success.
As summer winds down, we still have plenty happening at Big I WV. Our Young Insurance Professionals Summer Retreat is August 6–7 at Adventures on the Gorge, and our Annual Convention will be October 14–16 at Stonewall Resort. I hope many of you will take advantage of these opportunities to stay involved and connected with fellow members.
As always, thank you for your continued support of Big I West Virginia and, more importantly, for the work you do every day for your customers and communities.
Enjoy these last few weeks of summer, good luck to all the parents getting the kids back into their school routines, and I look forward to seeing many of you at an upcoming Big I WV event.
