2026 has been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of the Woman Farmer. This declaration is meant to emphasize the essential roles women play across agrifood systems, from production to trade, while often going unrecognized.

Saskatchewan Open Farm Days is officially returning on August 8 & 9, 2026, for a massive, province-wide celebration of local agriculture, fresh food, and rural community. This year’s event is bigger and better than ever, featuring 37 incredible participating host locations across Saskatchewan. With brand-new experiences, hands-on activities, and behind-the-scenes access waiting for you, it is the perfect opportunity to connect directly with the passionate people who feed our province.


Planning your perfect weekend is entirely up to you, with two exciting ways to dive into the fun. You can choose to self-explore and design your own ultimate road trip, picking and choosing the specific farms and markets that spark your interest at your own pace. Alternatively, you can sit back, relax, and let us do the driving by hopping on our highly anticipated returning bus tours. We are thrilled to be hosting two curated tours in the Saskatoon area and one tour in the Swift Current area, offering a completely hassle-free, guided day of farm-fresh discovery.
