Cosentino VP Patty Dominguez and NKBA Manhattan President Jeannine Price
What an incredible evening at COSENTINO for our May chapter meeting!
We celebrated the launch of ECLOS, Cosentino’s exciting new generation of mineral surfaces — an innovative step forward for the design industry.
The energy in the showroom was absolutely amazing, as many talented members of the NYC design community connected over creativity and inspiration. We were especially honored to have Cosentino VP Patty Dominguez in the house celebrating with us!
A huge thank you to Cosentino for hosting us in their stunning showroom and continuing to support the design community in such a meaningful way.

Get a Jump on Summer
As we welcome June and the start of the summer season, I want to take a moment to thank our members, sponsors, volunteers, and industry partners for their continued support of the NKBA Manhattan Chapter. Your engagement and enthusiasm help make our chapter a vibrant and inspiring community.
This month offers several wonderful opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate our industry together. I’m especially looking forward to A&D Market Dayon June 16, where design professionals from across the region come together to discover new products, explore emerging trends, and strengthen valuable professional relationships. It’s always one of the highlights of the year and a great reminder of the creativity and innovation that drive our industry forward.
We’re also excited to be invited to The Comfort of Color on June 18, hosted by our sponsor, Architech Designs. This inspiring event explores the role color plays in shaping beautiful, functional, and emotionally engaging spaces. Members interested in attending this luncheon and workshop are encouraged to register and join us for design inspiration and networking at their Long Island showroom.
Later in the month, we look forward to gathering for our Summer Social on June 24. These events provide meaningful opportunities to exchange ideas, welcome new members, strengthen professional relationships, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes our chapter so special.

As summer begins, I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to engage with fellow professionals and continue growing your network. Thank you for being part of our community, and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
“Everyone has a story. Let me tell yours.” — Jennifer Mirsky
For Jennifer Mirsky, creativity and communication have always gone hand in hand. Born and raised in Manhattan, she grew up in a household that valued continuous learning, a strong work ethic, and integrity. Her father was a prominent internist and diabetologist and her mother was SVP, International HR at J. Walter Thompson.
From an early age, Jennifer gravitated toward writing, media, and visual storytelling. At The Dalton School, she was graphics editor and a contributing writer for the school paper. In college, she wrote for the Yale Daily News Magazine.

Building a Career in Media
Jennifer’s work in print includes internships at People, Seventeen, Adweek, and LIFE, and campus stringing for People and TIME. For one of her earliest assignments, she served as People’s “teen representative” covering spring break in Fort Lauderdale. Not a bad introduction to magazine journalism. She then worked in television for seven years, primarily for Bill Moyers’ Public Affairs TV, with a separate 60 Minutes project in the mix.
She transitioned to digital by obtaining a master’s degree from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Interactive Telecommunications Program. The teacher put the syllabus on the internet and Jennifer felt that this was playing hardball! In 1996 a piece of paper sounded so appealing, albeit antiquated…
Early digital assignments included R/GAand TheCentury.com, a companion website to Peter Jennings’ 12-part documentary seriesfor ABC News. Jennifer went on to build extensive experience in women’s lifestyle media, directing teams in the creation and production of award-winning sites for top brands, including Hearst. She held leadership roles at iVillage.com and Time Inc., and served as editor-in-chief of women’s lifestyle at Meredith’s interactive division. During the internet boom years, budgets were high, the sky was the limit, and — when it came to Cosmo — no idea was too risqué!
Her Work Today
Jennifer is founder of Pitch-Perfect Content. She works with small businesses and funded nonprofits to shape and execute strategic and engaging content across platforms. She is also content director for Premiere Systems Design, creating website, newsletter, and social media content for the luxury technology integration firm. Her editorial experience in the shelter category includes overseeing digital properties for House Beautiful,Country Living, and Bob Vila.
Community and Collaboration
Jennifer joined NKBA Manhattan through her work with Premiere Systems Design and quickly found a welcoming professional community. She values the chapter’s emphasis on education and collaboration, particularly the growing relationship between interior designers and technology designers.
She currently serves on the NKBA communications committee and is also co-chair of the marketing committee for the Norwalk Symphony in Connecticut.
Outside of Work
In her off-hours, she enjoys screening films (the Oscar Shorts in particular), attending Manhattan Edit Workshop’s “Sight, Sound & Story” events (she’s the only non–film editor in the audience), and walking her Portuguese water dog, Zoe (Jennifer gets some of her best content ideas this way).
She and her partner, with dog in tow, divide their time between Manhattan, Connecticut, and Alabama, though Italy — where she lived and worked for seven months during her 20s — remains especially close to her heart.
Looking Ahead
Jennifer says, “Storytelling tools are ever evolving as is discoverability, whether through search engines or AI. The key is to never lose sight of the essence of the story and the ideal way to tell it.”
As AI improves and expands, her strategy is to leverage it for what it does best, while still applying human intelligence and lived experience to create content in each client’s unique voice, tone, and style. That’s why she calls it Pitch-Perfect Content —
Discover the Hidden Design Intelligence Behind Kosher Kitchens
Most kitchen designers were never taught how deeply lifestyle, ritual, timing, technology, food preparation, storage, traffic flow, and appliance selection can shape a kitchen design. Yet the kosher kitchen market represents some of the most detailed, loyal, and high-value kitchen projects in the industry.
In this eye-opening NKBA workshop, award-winning kitchen designer Rochelle Kalisch and a member of the NKBA Manhattan Chapter will introduce designers to the fascinating world of kosher kitchen planning — including dual work zones, appliance considerations, Sabbath and holiday functionality, Passover storage strategies, workflow efficiency, family-scale entertaining, and the deeper “why” behind the design requirements.
This workshop is about more than rules. It’s about learning how cultural understanding can elevate your value as a designer, deepen client trust, and open doors to a highly specialized niche market. Whether you currently design kosher kitchens or are simply curious about expanding your expertise, this workshop will leave you inspired, informed, and creatively energized.PLEASE RSVP
