We invite every Tiger to honor a faculty, coach, or staff member (PAST OR PRESENT) who made a lasting impact on your life with a gift of any size to The Georgetown Fund. You may also submit a written tribute that will be shared across our social media channels (Click here to read current tributes).
In addition, two individuals will also receive permanent on-campus recognition through tree dedications: one for being honored by the greatest number of donors and one for inspiring the highest total in gifts. Supporters can follow the campaign’s progress anytime through the live leaderboard. Join us in celebrating the people who helped you grow and ensuring their impact continues for future Tigers. On Wednesday, June 3, we celebrated the life of former football assistant coach, Bruce Owens '87.Hill Chapel was packed full with former Tigers dating all the way back to the early 1980s. Thank you to all of you who were able to attend.
Several alum have come together to celebrate Bruce as part of GC's Honor the One Campaign. Gifts made in tribute to Coach Owens using our special tribute form will support both The Georgetown Fund and the refurbishment of the stadium coaches' box, which will be named the John Bruce Owens, Jr. Coaches' Box. The deadline to give to the tribute is June 30.
| | | Nomination for Distinguished Alumni Due | | | | | The Office of Alumni Relations seeks nominations for its Distinguished Alumni Awards to be presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves professionally and through service to Georgetown College and the greater community. Recognizing Georgetown College alumni achievement dates back to 1953. | | |
The Awards for 2026 will be held on Friday, October 23 at the James A. and Martha R. Brown Conference Center at Georgetown College. Honorees will receive an acknowledgment of the award for their display, and their names will be entered on a plaque to be hung in Giddings Hall. Nominations and all supporting materials are due on or before the new deadline of June 30. Winners will be notified by August 15.

Make plans now to return to the GC for Homecoming 2026, Oct. 23-25! The weekend will kick off Friday evening with the Distinguished Alumni Awards at the Brown Conference Center, followed by the Alumni Meet-Up at Country Boy Georgetown (alum-owned business!).
Saturday's activities include the Golden Tigers Brunch honoring the Classes of 1829-1976, fraternity and sorority brunches, the Tiger Cubs Kids Zone, a faculty and staff meet-and-greet, the Jeremy Shoulta '06 Celebration of Life, and the Fred Moses Memorial Brunch.
Out at East Campus, the day will kick-off with tailgating and the Tiger Prowl - all leading up to your Georgetown Tigers taking on Bethel at Toyota Stadium.

Guinness record-holder (and Tiger Alum), Joabe Barbosa '22, completed his run of every Chicago street.
Barbosa, a Brazilian native, took on the ambitious challenge to run every city street in Chicago, nearly two years ago. His visa was just recently extended so he can continue his education at Roosevelt University.

Georgetown City Fire Department Station 3 welcomed a new truck to fleet. The new vehicle, Ariel Truck 1, is full of Tiger Pride!

The Georgetown College President's Club is composed of donors who have gifted at least $1,000 to the College during the previous fiscal year (July 1-June 30). The deadline to join the club for July 2026-June 2027 is June 30, 2026.
Members receive:
- Special emails from the President
- Invitation to join the President's Box for every home football game
- Free admission to all Maskrafter and Performing Arts productions
- Invitations to all art gallery receptions
- Free admission to Foust Series Events
- Campus parking sticker
- Special events throughout the year

Gifts postmarked on or before June 30, 2026, and received on or before July 7, 2026, will be posted to fiscal year 2026.
To comply with IRS regulations, ANY gift, regardless of postmark, received after July 7, 2026 will be posted to fiscal year 2027.
