May 17 - May 23 was National Public Works Week! The City would like to thank Ruben, Scotty, Gustavo, Trenton, and our Public Works Director Lora for all of the work they do.
This mighty crew is responsible for making sure Carnation’s water and sewer systems are operational. They also maintain our roads and parks.
In addition to being utility first responders, they are also float decorators, flower basket hangers, picnic table assemblers, snow plow operators, squirrel rescuers - you name it, they can handle it!

- Keep a close eye on children
- Alcohol enhances hypothermia
- Even experienced swimmers can lose muscle control very quickly
- Fast‑flowing water will make rescue difficult
