The Black Hills Quilt Guild Show is this weekend — and what a wonderful reason to finally exhale! With those beautiful quilts out the door and on display, it's time to relax, recharge, and maybe stop to smell the roses (or admire some fabric). Wishing everyone a wonderful summer ahead!
A Summer Pause for Strip Club We will be taking a break from our Saturday Strip Club gatherings for the summer months — June, July, and August. We know how much everyone looks forward to those get-togethers, and we will miss them too! But summer is a busy season for all of us, including here at the shop, and a little pause will give everyone — including our team — a chance to breathe and come back energized in the fall.

Something BIG is Coming in July! 🎉 Here's some exciting news I just have to share. During one of my late-night, can't-sleep, thinking-about-the-shop moments, it suddenly hit me — Quilt Connection has been around for 30 years! After a little digging, I confirmed it: Quilt Connection, Etc. opened its doors three decades ago, and I personally have had the joy of being part of this amazing shop for 25 of those years.
That deserves a party — and that's exactly what we're planning! We're still working out the details, but a big celebration event is coming in July. Watch your inbox and our social pages for announcements. You won't want to miss it!
Service Department Notice 🪡 Please note that our Service Department will not be accepting sewing machines for repair or service during the first two weeks of July. Tracy and Dave are working hard to catch up on current machines and need a little breathing room to do their best work. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding — they'll be ready to help you again soon!
Here's to a summer full of sunshine, stitches, and celebration. 🌸

July 1-12
We’re currently taking a short summer pause in our service department to catch up on repairs and give our technicians some well-deserved time to focus on the machines already in our care.
We will not be accepting any new sewing machines for service until after July 12th.
This summer catch-up will help us come back stronger and provide the excellent service you’ve come to expect from us. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
If you have a machine already in service with us, rest assured it’s in good hands. We’ll reach out as soon as it’s ready.
Thank you for supporting our quilt shop family! 🧵

Easy Angle Classes
with Pam Hultgren-Klein
| | Pam Hultgren-Klein grew up with quilting literally in her hands — and in her family. As the daughter of Sharon Hultgren, the creative mind behind the beloved Easy Angle Tool, Pam learned early that the right tools make all the difference in bringing a quilt to life. What began as childhood lessons at the cutting mat blossomed into a deep, lifelong passion for the craft. Today, Pam brings that rich heritage and hands-on expertise into every class she teaches, helping quilters of all skill levels discover the joy of precision, creativity, and the timeless art of quilting. When Pam teaches, she's not just sharing techniques — she's sharing a legacy stitched with love. | | |

Fabric Requirements
We will talk about fabric at our first class.
Basically, we will use 4 different fabrics for our quilt. The amount is dependent on what size you would like to
make.
For the small quilt:
2/3 yd for the background
2/3 yd dark
3/8 yd for second dark
¼ yd for centers of nine patch
¼ yd inner border
½ yd outer border
2/3 yd binding
If you wish to make a bigger quilt we can talk about how much fabric you will need.
Prior to class:
Practice a quarter inch seam by sewing two 2.5"x 5" strips together along the 5" side. The finished piece should measure 4.5" x 5". If your piece is wider than 4.5", your seam allowance is too narrow. If your piece is narrower, your seam allowance is too wide. Adjust your needle position accordingly accordingly.
If you have any questions please call Quilt Connection at 605-355-0178.
