As part of our continued celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Museum welcomed families for a special edition of Cooking by the Book in partnership with Tea Arts & Culture.
Children and caregivers gathered for an interactive tea party experience filled with storytelling, creativity, and cultural exploration. A highlight of the afternoon was a special reading of Luli and the Language of Tea led by the book’s illustrator, Hyewon Yum.
Through tea, art, and shared stories, families explored themes of friendship, language, and connection — reminding us of the power of cultural traditions to bring communities together across the Bronx and beyond.
