We've finally made it to the start of summer and the busy season for our small town. After a wonderful Memorial Day kickoff weekend we are excited to see it continue. There are so many great upcoming events coming up; opening weekend of the Piedmont Farmer's Market, a great line up of horse events at the Wayne County Saddle Club and golf at the Piedmont Canyon Club and our annual 4th of July event, just to name a few. Sam A Baker State Park Celebrates 100 Year Anniversary


2026 marks the 100 year anniversary of Sam A Baker State Park. The park is planning a celebration June 13th to mark the century since it's opening. The event is currently set to include tours and exhibits, music, demonstrations, games and more. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for this historic celebration.



Piedmont Farmer's Market Opening for 2026


Here we go! Opening weekend of the Piedmont Farmer's Market will be next weekend, Friday and Saturday, June 5-6th from 7am - 3pm each day. If you would like to be a vendor but have not signed up yet you can do so by checking out our website www.visitpiedmontmo.com/farmersmarket or by contacting the Chamber office. You can also register in person at the Chamber office or at City Hall. There is no fee to set up we simply ask that you register and sign a liability form. If you have already registered, I will reach out to you to see if you will be setting up for opening weekend. We're so excited to get started and can't wait to see everyone there! Be sure to check out our facebook next week for a list of vendors!



250th Anniversary of America Shirts


In lieu of the BBQ Fundraiser, this year we will be selling shirts as a fundraiser for the 2026 Firework Display. Help support the firework show and celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America. Pine Hill Diner Moves to Main Street


The Pine Hill Diner, previously located at the Pine Hill Drive In, has now officially moved to Main Street. Saturday, May 23rd the Diner celebrated their grand opening and ribbon cutting at their new location 316 S Main St. Check them out for daily specials, every day hot bar and all of your favorite southern style home cooking.
