From your National President
As my presidential year comes to a close, I find myself filled with gratitude for each Psi Iota Xi chapter. My theme has been “Psi Iota Xi Sisters are Different Flowers from the Same Garden,” and you have brought that to life—each chapter blooming in its own way, yet all rooted in the same purpose, values, and love.
Over the past year, I have learned more than I can put into words about what makes a chapter strong—and it always comes back to sisterhood. It’s members who show up for one another in good times and in hard seasons. It’s sisters who look forward to gathering, sharing life’s latest joys and challenges, and offering steady encouragement. Whether you are close friends outside of sorority or have come to know one another through Psi Iota Xi, when you are together, you are sisters—family and friends. That spirit has been the heartbeat of our organization this year.
As we look ahead, our chapters must continue to grow—just like our gardens grow. We do that by welcoming new members, mentoring emerging leaders, and inviting fresh ideas to blend with our cherished traditions. The work you do to nurture membership today is what keeps each chapter thriving tomorrow.
This year has been filled with anniversaries, accomplishments, meaningful projects, and moments—large and small—that remind us why Psi Iota Xi matters. The traditions we uphold and the memories we create together honor our past while paving the way for a bright future. Thank you for the countless hours you have given, the kindness you have shared, and the difference you continue to make through our mission.
As we close this year, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to every chapter celebrating a milestone—and my sincere appreciation to all chapters for your continued service, friendship, and support. I also want to extend my warmest support and best wishes to the incoming leadership as they guide us into the next year. May we continue blossoming together as Psi Iota Xi Sisters, tending our gardens with care, welcoming new flowers, and staying united in our shared purpose. Thank you for giving me the privilege and joy of serving as your National President.
Your dedicated sister,
Taffy Day

Thank You from Your National President
— ◆ —
As National President, I know this season can be both exciting and incredibly demanding, with many important responsibilities arriving all at once. Between Pre-Convention Reports, Helicon articles, Psi Ote of the Year nominations, and Convention registrations, there is so much to manage, and I want you to know how deeply your efforts are appreciated. To each chapter officer who gives so generously of your time, energy, and heart, thank you. Your dedication, leadership, and care truly make a lasting difference, and I am sincerely grateful for all that you do for our organization.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Taffy Day

After creating twenty-four issues of the Psi Iota Xi National Newsletter and two Helicons, my journey as your National Editor is coming to an end.
I am thankful to Mickie for entrusting me with this important role and to Taffy for inviting me to serve a second year. I also deeply appreciate the PNPs, former National Editors, and chapter sisters who told me how much they enjoyed the newsletter each month. Most of all, I could not have done this without the support and wisdom of Terri and the other members of National Council.
With mixed emotions, I pass the role of National Editor to the next deserving sister. I am confident I am leaving the duties of National Editor in capable hands as I begin another exciting role on National Council.
With love and gratitude,
Jane Patton

Power of Helping Others Grow
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” — Proverbs 31:25
Strength is often described as endurance, courage, and determination, but in the lives of women, it is also seen in compassion, resilience, and the quiet ability to keep moving forward through every season of life. Across homes, workplaces, and communities, women continue to lead, nurture, create, and inspire. Their strength is not only found in personal success, but also in the way they rise after setbacks and continue to open doors for others.
One of the most powerful expressions of strength is the willingness to support someone else’s growth. When women encourage one another, share knowledge, and create space for others to lead, the impact extends far beyond one individual. In a sorority, that sisterhood becomes a lasting bond built on shared values, encouragement, and the commitment to help each sister become the best version of herself. Mentorship, collaboration, and sincere encouragement help build confidence, create opportunities, and remind others that success is not limited or scarce.
As we celebrate the strength of women, let us also recognize the responsibility and privilege of helping others grow. A kind word, a shared lesson, an open door, or a moment of encouragement can change the course of someone’s journey. When women rise together, they create lasting change that reaches families, organizations, and entire communities. Our communities benefit from our work and presence, from our gifts of charity, and from the ways we show up to support children. May we continue to be women of strength, and just as importantly, women who strengthen others. Let your strengths, talents, and inner beauty shine in ways that can’t be copied or replaced. And just as our sisterhood has helped many flowers bloom in the garden, let us begin this new year by seeking new ways to serve, uplift one another, and grow together.
