Father Trout's Farewell Celebration

We are thrilled to welcome around 1,000 attendees at the Mass and reception to celebrate and bid farewell to our beloved Pastor of 12 years, Fr. John Trout this Saturday, June 22, starting at 5:00 PM! Please read the following information to prepare for our celebration.


Event Details:

Mass: Starting at 5:00 PM in the Church

Reception: Following the Mass in both the Koenig Center and the outdoor tent over Sunrise Park


Parking: Due to the expected large turnout, please be patient and plan for additional time with parking and arriving at Mass. The majority of Maple Avenue will be reserved for handicapped parking and for people needing additional assistance. To see a map of areas you can park at around Libertyville, please click here.



Additional Assistance: If you are in need of additional assistance, we will have reserved handicap parking on Maple Avenue.


Program and Presentation: There will be a brief program featuring gifts and speeches from our Clergy, School, Children's Faith Formation, Knights of Columbus, and other Parish Leadership. The program will be available via live stream here.


Dining: Enjoy the same delicious food, desserts, and drinks in both the Koenig Center and in the outdoor tent in Sunrise Park, with a streaming of the program available in the tent. Drinks, dinner, and desserts will be served in both locations, each with two buffet lines for food.


Receiving Line: Beginning through the School Gym entrances and forming through the Gym and Koenig Center, there will be a receiving line with an opportunity to say your goodbyes, present gifts, and take photos with Father Trout. Following the program, Fr. Trout will visit the outdoor tent to greet parishioners.

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage

The National Eucharistic Revival is a major movement in the U.S. for Catholics to reconnect with the Eucharist. Seize this historic, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of these transformative events while the pilgrimage is in Chicago!


On June 26, the pilgrimage will visit the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary for Mass, testimonies, Adoration, and a Eucharistic Procession. On June 29, it will be at the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe for a Vigil Mass and Eucharistic Devotion, with Bishop Jeffrey Grob presiding, followed by a testimonial and Eucharistic Adoration/Benediction. Help Make Lunches for the Homeless

St. Joe's is committed to providing 50 lunches each Wednesday to be delivered a local hotel where PADS Lake County is providing housing this year. Families or groups are encouraged to sign up to make lunches, however, all adults working with youth must complete compliance requirements. Sign up to help!

Adult Volunteers Needed - SHINE Service Week!

Adult Volunteers are needed July 8-12th to supervise teens serving at SHINE, our local youth service week for teens. You will receive lunch, and a free SHINE t-shirt! All adults meet the Archdiocese of Chicago requirements for volunteering with youth. Learn more!

Donald E. Dixon Sr., father of Mary Kashmar and father-in-law of Deacon George Kashmar, passed away on June 15, at the age of 98, surrounded by his loving family. To learn more about Donald, his life and his funeral arrangements please refer to his obituary.
