Chaos Regatta - Last call for registration!
|
|
The ORC will be holding a brand new club-wide regatta on Saturday, June 25th from 8:30 AM to 12 PM! Crews will be made up of athletes from different programs. Teams will be chosen “chaotically” with names drawn from hats and the opportunity to steal athletes from other boats. The winning crew will receive custom ORC swag to show off their win, and everyone will get brunch afterwards!
Regatta fees are $20 per athlete, $10 per coxswain and $10 to just have brunch. Brunch is included for regatta athletes, coxswains and volunteers. All the fees will go towards running the regatta and any leftover will go to the new gym equipment fund.
Please send your etransfer to etransfer@ottawarowingclub.com with “Chaos Regatta - [athlete, coxswain or just brunch]” in the comment section. (Example: Chaos Regatta - coxswain)
We are looking for volunteers to help out with this event in various roles, from Brunch Cooks to Safety Boat Drivers to regatta setup and take down. Volunteers will get free brunch!
If you are interested in participating as an athlete or volunteer, please fill out the form below. Last call is June 23rd by noon!

ORC Canada Day BBQ! Last Call!
|
|
The Senior Men will be hosting a BBQ and raffle at the ORC at 6pm, the evening of Canada Day (July 1st)! Help raise money for new gym equipment and celebrate summer! Club Members and family/friends are welcome. We ask you to let us know how many may be coming. Tickets will be sold at the door and will be 10 dollars for adults (13 and up), and 5 dollars for kids (12 and under). This includes a burger, side and sweet treats, as well as 1 alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.
Additional burgers, sides and drinks will also be available for purchase. Drinks (alcoholic and non) will be provided by Kichesippi Beer.
There will be a raffle with some incredible goodies too, including gift certificates for Regatta Sport and Zak's Diner, as well as homemade BBQ sauces and more. We are hoping to sell raffle tickets in advance too! To ensure we stock an appropriate amount of food, we would appreciate it if you could confirm if you, and any guests you might bring, are interested in attending by June 23rd.
Although the fireworks on Canada Day are moving to Lebreton Flats, for those who want to stay later after the BBQ, the club may still be a good place to watch the show!
