The HSC Street Outreach Team locates unsheltered individuals to engage, assess and triage people to temporary locations for care that includes, but is not limited to, recovery programs, medical respite beds, bridge beds, emergency shelter and urgent psychiatric counseling.
As of this week, 805 people are living on the streets surrounding the Campus. Since the launch of the Street Outreach program in August 2021, over 100 individuals have been provided move-in assistance and housing. “As the number of unsheltered individuals living outside the Campus continues to grow, so too do our efforts to assist as many individuals as possible access services to move them from street to home while at the same time serving the more than 800 individuals living on the Campus,” said HSC Executive Director Amy Schwabenlender. “This incredibly generous grant from Bank of America will enable us to expand our outreach efforts and reach more individuals experiencing homelessness who are looking for assistance.”
On behalf of our clients, staff and Board of Directors, thank you Bank of America for your continued support of the collaborative efforts to end homelessness every day at the Human Services Campus!
