Maintenance and repairs to White Oak Bayou
|
|
Over the next six months, Harris County Flood Control District will be conducting maintenance and repairs to short stretches of White Oak Bayou between Hogan Street and 43rd Street. The Hike-and-Bike Trails may also need to be closed for safety reasons while the work is being done.

The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a virtual public meeting to provide updates on progress associated with the Halls Bayou Bond Program. This is the first of a series of bi-annual meetings that will be hosted in the Halls Bayou watershed to gather feedback and share updates with the community. These meetings will be held in addition to ongoing bond project community engagement meetings focused on specific projects within the program.

HOV/HOT lanes to open weekends
for summer pilot program
|

The Express Lanes that help you avoid traffic on weekdays will soon be open seven days a week as part of a regional pilot mobility program approved by METRO's Board of Directors.
HOV/HOT (Express) Lanes managed by METRO will be open on weekends beginning Saturday, July 2, through Monday, September 5. This includes the Fourth of July and Labor Day holidays. Weekend and holiday operations will follow the same schedule, occupancy requirements and tolls as weekdays.
Lanes included in the pilot program run down the middle of Interstate 45, U.S. Highway 59 and U.S. Highway 290. Click here for schedules and toll rates.
