Wave Two Reminders

Wave Two physicians are encouraged to visit the OPOR Hub* regularly for the latest Job Aids and Change Notifications to stay up-to-date and support your use of the new system. Other resources include:

Reducing Duplicate Documentation in Primary Care EMRs

Primary Care Providers (PCPs) have reported receiving a high volume of duplicate documents in their EMR inboxes, creating added administrative burden. To help reduce unnecessary duplicates, please review the Automatic Documentation Routing* resource, which outlines what documentation is automatically distributed to PCPs.

As a reminder:

  • Clinic and consult notes are automatically sent to PCPs’ EMRs.
  • Progress notes are not automatically distributed.

Because clinic and consult notes are automatically routed when signed, any subsequent modification or addendum to a signed note will generate and send another copy to the PCP. Before signing, please take a moment to ensure your note is complete and accurate to help avoid duplicate documents requiring review. If manually copying a colleague on documentation, also confirm that the correct provider and practice location have been selected

Wave Three - November 14

Registration details for Wave Three training are coming soon. Please note that registration will begin in mid-July, followed by classroom training beginning in August.

Call for Provider Peer Mentors

The OPOR team is seeking Provider Peer Mentors in Eastern, Northern and Western Zones. These individuals play a key role in supporting colleagues through the transition to the clinical information system (CIS), promoting readiness and providing local leadership before, during and after implementation, and will be remunerated* for their time spent on activities.

To learn more about becoming a Provider Peer Mentor, including responsibilities involved, please visit Provider Corner*. Ready to get involved? Complete the registration form.*
