Our sister church, Iglesia Aliento (701 S. 1st Street, Phoenix) is in need of volunteers at their Summer Camp -- especially from 9:30-10:30am, for the reading session! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Those 18 and older must undergo a background check. Do you love to sing? If you’ve ever wanted to sing with the Dayspring Choir, summer is the perfect time to jump in. Our Summer Choir sings at the 10:00am service on the first and third Sundays of the month—with no weekday rehearsals! Just come at 9:20am on the morning of the service to learn the song and warm up. Second Sundays at Dayspring continue this summer—just with a lighter schedule! We’re paring things down a bit, but the heart of the day remains the same. Simple breakfast fare will be offered throughout the morning. The offerings may be fewer, but the experience will be just as meaningful. We’d love to see you there!

It will be a Second Sunday, so people can enjoy something to eat in the Fellowship Hall before attending the session.

Prayer Shawl Ministry meets at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall. All knitters and crocheters age 7th grade and older are welcome to participate. Yarn and patterns are available. This ministry is growing and we need more people making shawls and blankets. Please email Susan Staley with questions. 

Have you thought about rooftop solar but not sure how to get started? First, don’t let Congress repeat solar tax credits! Call Arizona Senator Kelly and Gallego and ask them to keep these credits in the budget bill currently in the U.S. Senate. If credits are repealed, there’s a good chance solar projects installed prior to October will qualify. Please bring in water bottles, electrolyte drinks, and nutritional snacks to support Tempe Cooling Centers this 2025 summer. We're also collecting hygiene products, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, socks, board games and books.
