Sing Along!
"1 4 3" written and performed by Andy Z
Andy Z's heartfelt tribute to Mister Rogers and his favorite number is the single “1 4 3”. Mister Rogers believed the number 1 4 3 was a way for him to spread love to the world – and a way the world spread love to him. Andy writes, “Like so many others my age, I grew up watching Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. As an adult, my appreciation for him and his kind, loving example has only grown – along with my desire to learn more about his life and philosophy. In that pursuit, I happened upon an article about his interpretation of the number 143 as “I Love You”. I was so moved, that the next morning I woke up with a new song “1 4 3”. Its message is simple and timely: show someone you care, just because they’re there." (from

Outreach Spotlight on Recovery Cafe
If you missed Recovery Cafe’s ‘Closing the Gap” event on May 7 it is still possible to “attend” via YouTube at  In keeping with the event’s theme, “ Beginning Anew,” you will hear members share personal stories of how they abused drugs and alcohol to deal with trauma in their lives and their eventual roads to recovery. You’ll enjoy member John Duckworth’s boogie woogie composition “Jesus Help Dig Me Out Of This Hole,” with such memorable lines as “I’ve dug this hole so deep and wide I hope the devil is satisfied.” You’ll learn how Recovery Cafe, which prides itself on offering “a place to grow, a place to belong” adapted when it had to close its doors due to COVID. You’ll also hear the incomparable Anne Lamott and her friend Father Tom Weston talk about their own paths from addiction to recovery.
