City News Hour July 10, 2017 at 5:30 PM
Every town has that quintessential main street. What could University Avenue look like? What steps could we take to help transform our main street? A strong main street is the heart of a City.  Creating a thriving downtown is no small task for a City. It requires local leaders, business stakeholders and residents to come together to identify our vision, our identity and to showcase our assets to the region. The new Windsor Heights Comprehensive Plan indicates that an additional study for the University Avenue Redesign is necessary to consider the complete streets concept and alternatives.  The City of Windsor Heights and Bolton and Menk invite you to attend the University Avenue Redesign Kick-Off Meeting at the City News Hour on July 10, 2017 at 5:30 pm at the council chambers at 1133 66th Street.
Citizen Survey
The City of Windsor Heights and the University of Iowa Institute of Public Affairs have mailed out a survey to all the residents and businesses in the City. The survey will arrive in an envelope addressed from the Institute of Public Affairs. If you haven't already received it, you will shortly. Please don't toss it away thinking it's junk mail.  The City of Windsor Heights wants to receive your input!  Please complete the survey and mail it back in the self addressed envelope to the Institute of Public Affairs by July 14th. If two members of a household takes the survey, please note that at the top of the survey. The Institute of Public Affairs will present the results at an August City Council Meeting. After the presentation, the City of Windsor Heights will post the results on our website.
Thank you!
