We are thrilled to congratulate Abby Foster, the deserving recipient of the Ella Lawless Scholarship! Abby has faithfully served as our Nursery Keeper for the last year and a half, providing love and care to the youngest members of our church community.

Abby is the oldest daughter of Kevin & Ashley Foster and granddaughter of Dianne and the late Sonny Foster. A dedicated student, she has maintained an impressive 3.9 GPA and will be attending James Madison University, where she plans to pursue her degree before continuing to fulfill her dream of becoming a pediatrician. Her commitment to education, service, and compassion embodies the very spirit of this scholarship, and we look forward to seeing all the incredible things she will accomplish.

Discovery Music

This week, on Pentecost Sunday, we will be singing After Your Heart, which you may remember we introduced a few weeks ago as a new song. We will also close the service with the familiar,The Stand. Please listen and brush up on these two songs, and remember to wear RED this week!

The Heritage UM Church Choir is seeking voices - just like yours! If you love music, fellowship, and lifting spirits through song, this is your chance to be a part of something special! No professional experience needed, just a willing heart and a joyful noise. HUMC Youth Pickleball this Summer

HUMC is offering youth (ages 12-19) pickleball this summer for six weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 pm in our gym. Our first session is Tuesday, June 10. Players are required to pay $2.00 per session attended. Parents must complete a church waiver for minors during their first session. We will be using the Playtime Scheduler App for parents or players to signup for each session they plan to attend. Please email Leron if you have any questions: lhii3k@gmail.com

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, we will be hosting a Church Cookout immediately following the 10:00 a.m. church service. All are invited!! Please let the Office know if you plan to attend or sign up with your Connect Card!

Just a reminder that our Sanctuary Flower list is lacking donations. Please help beautify our worship area on Sunday. Your donation can be in Honor or Memory of a loved one. You are welcome to take them home after the Service or leave them for our sick or homebound members. The cost is under $34 for each arrangement. Please call the Office, and Dianne will take your name and preferred Sunday. Thank you, 434-239-4291

Welcome Center on Sunday Mornings!

We are seeking volunteers to help with our Sunday morning hospitality. On Sunday mornings, snacks, coffee, and water are available in the Welcome Center before each service. Pre-packaged snacks are readily available and should be supplemented with fresh items you can easily pick up at your local grocery store. Folks who sign up need to have the Welcome Center ready at 8:45 and clean up after the worship service. . The Leadership Team has been taking care of this for the past year. More volunteers are needed to buy and put out the snacks on Sunday mornings, make the coffee, and clean up after the worship service (typically takes 15 minutes). More specific directions will be posted in the hospitality kitchen off the narthex. If you can help with hospitality this way, please click the link HERE . Thank you!
