Marin is in the Yellow Tier 4 COVID-19 Status

With its improving COVID-19 figures, Marin County has graduated from orange Tier 3 status to yellow Tier 4, which means more reopening of the economy and another step toward pre-pandemic normalcy.

The primary driver of Marin’s success is the high rate of the COVID-19 vaccine among local residents. Marin’s vaccination rates are the highest in the state, and the county has seen a steady decline in COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths as vaccination rates have increased.

A Message from the Climate Action Committee

The Climate Action Committee is working with the Town Council on a new version of the Climate Action Plan. We want to thank everyone who took the time to read the draft, and to provide us with much-needed feedback. We have incorporated as much of it as we can, and we are trying to answer all of the comments on our blog – check it out on our website.

One thing to know is that we all know we are being very aspirational in this plan. It will take resources, and we are committed to finding those resources to help us all, especially people who need help the most. We believe that technology will be on our side, here, making things easier and cheaper as time passes. We also believe that we may have to adjust our plan, as time moves on, depending on how much help we are able to secure.

Rest assured that we understand the challenge this situation poses. We are committed to finding the resources to get it done. We will work together to lift all boats. But, know too, that NOT acting will cost us even more. Join us if you can, and lets figure this out together.
