Course Registration and Expectations
Course registration opened 6/1/2023.This process is done via your Student Center in Wolverine Access.
You will be getting more detailed information about course planning and other registration details from your department’s program coordinator, but here are some helpful videos to get you prepared! If you have logistical questions, email [email protected].

Some important information to keep in mind during registration:

  • Class sections ending in 554, 555, 556, 333, or 777 are reserved for students in specific programs and are not open to students outside of those programs.
  • If you get an error message when registering that says you have a time conflict, you are able to override the time conflict by checking the "Time Conflict Okay" checkbox in the Class Enrollment Preferences page. You should speak to the instructors of both courses to be sure that this time conflict will not cause an issue.
  • If a class requires permission, you need to contact the instructor to get approval. Their department then enters an electronic permission into the system that allows you to enroll in the class. Once the permission has been entered an email will be sent to notify you. You will then need to officially register for the class.
  • If you are trying to register for a full or closed course, turn on the "add to waitlist" checkbox on the Enrollment Preferences page when adding it to your Backpack. You will still need to officially enroll in the course if a seat opens up and you are granted permission. To do this, you will drop your waitlisted course and re-register for it. The permission in the system will allow you to enroll in the class.

Helpful Tip! Would you like to receive notifications from Wolverine Access when changes are made to your academic record, such as a grade change or transfer credit is posted? You are able to "opt in" to those notifications through the Notifications Preferences in Wolverine Access. Check the "Enable Email Notifications" checkbox and don't forget to hit save!
