Exciting Opportunity To Support NECC
Will Require Temporary Facility Closure:
June 8-11
Good morning, NECC Community Members,
We are reaching out to share news about a unique revenue-generating opportunity for NECC that will require facility closure Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11 due to a facility-wide rental. During this time, the building and parking lot will be closed, and all programs and reservations will be postponed or cancelled. NECC will reopen with regular hours on Friday, June 12.
How This Rental Supports NECC's Future
With this rental opportunity, we are proud and enthused to share our beautiful, historic building with a wider audience and look forward to the finished product being distributed. This rental will generate a significant amount of unplanned revenue that will help to provide breathing room in our 2026-’27 organizational budget during these uncertain economic times.
We recognize this closure may interrupt your usual course of activities at the center, and we're doing all we can to minimize disruption and clearly communicate timelines. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience you may experience.

With these rental revenues, we gain greater fiscal certainty and are able to support your membership by:

Reducing our planned membership fee increase this year
- Maintaining our robust day-to-day operations and intergenerational programming
- Supporting our no-cost to members insurance membership program and Community Fund scholarships
Additionally, this rental will also provide a chance for the majority of our hard-working staff to take a well-deserved paid break.
August Closure Week Cancelled!
To offset the impact of this closure, we are forgoing our typical week-long August closure for all "land-based" programming. The pool closure will still take place in order to fulfill state-required maintenance. This means no water activities from August 29 through September 2.
Program Updates at a Glance

June 2 (members) and June 4 (everyone) 12:00 pm: Summer swim lesson registration

June 8-11: Facility closed due to facility-wide rental (building & parking lot closed)

Friday, June 12: Facility fully reopens 6am-8pm

Week of June 15: Rescheduled swim lessons

End of August: No full-building closure, but the pool will be closed for drain/refill and conduct maintenance
