The moment is finally here! I’ve been hearing from members asking when they can register for our annual conference and I am excited to share that registration is now live for ACHD’s 73rd Annual Meeting. This year’s theme, Rockin' Resilience: Hitting the High Notes and Serving Communities, is with meant to align with all of the incredible work that districts throughout the state are doing to serve their communities. This year, our intention is to infuse some extra fun into the event by focusing on music and coming together as an Association. Not only will the 73rd Annual Meeting feature educational and inspirational sessions, our popular Best Practices Workshops, and networking opportunities, but we will also be weaving in some themed activities and engaging members more than ever. Dig out your old concert T-shirts everyone! As the event grows closer, we will share more details on all of the exciting things we have planned.
In the meantime, hopefully you saw our announcement yesterday about registration details. ICYMI, this year we will be in San Diego at the Sheraton San Diego Resort, September 24-26. Check out our registration page for information on the schedule of events and room reservation details.
Legislatively here in Sacramento, Sarah has been working hard as always to advocate on your behalf in the Capitol. Bill proposals have been moving through their first house (house of origin) the past few weeks We are also squarely in State Budget season as the legislature has until June 15 to send a budget to the Governor. Be sure to check Sarah Bridge's update below for how ACHD’s high priority bills fared in their first house.
I’ll wrap this month up by letting you know that ACHD dues letters were mailed out this week. If you do not receive your letter soon, please reach out to me directly. We are grateful to be able to serve healthcare districts for another year and we appreciate your support and confidence. The years ahead are sure to be some of the most exciting in ACHD history and I hope you will all be a long for the ride!
