Old Fashioned 4th of July at Stow House
11:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Come to Stow House for a hometown festival featuring live music (Country, Bluegrass, Dixieland) and entertainment, hayrides, delicious BBQ, games, local artists, classic cars, old engine show and plenty of family-friendly fun.

4th of July Firework Celebration at Girsh Park
5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
The Goleta Rotary Clubs present the 19th annual 4th of July celebration at Girsh Park featuring entertainment for all ages including face painting, live entertainment, kids activities and more. The evening is  capped off with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

The 4th Annual Dam Dinner will be held Saturday, August 20th from 
5-7pm at Lake Los Carneros.

A big thank you to the firefighters, emergency personnel, and all businesses who helped during the Sherpa Fire. Several local businesses donated expertise and volunteers and a special shout out to the Bacara Resort & Spa and Courtyard by Marriott Santa Barbara Goleta for taking care of workers and displaced families.

Chamber Endorses Tony Vallejo for Goleta City Council
The Goleta Chamber of Commerce is  p leased to announce their endorsement o f Tony Vallejo for Goleta City Council. Vallejo is running for 
re-election in November.

Two out of five Goleta City Council seats are up for 
re-election this November; Tony and Mayor Jim Farr are both completing their term. Vallejo was appointed to the Goleta City Council in 2014 to fill the vacancy of Ed Easton, who resigned after moving out of the city.

Chamber Supported Workforce Housing Initiative Is A Success
The Goleta Chamber of Commerce is pleased to report current results of their 2016 Workforce Housing Incentives program with Hollister Village.

The Chamber of Commerce and Hollister Village partnered on an incentive program that would target the local workforce and connect them to the new housing offering.  The incentive ran for 3-months, and gave the Chamber a way to lure local workers to the new neighborhood and capture the data we needed to analyze the program.

Goleta Represented at IPW 2016 in New Orleans
This month, Goleta Chamber Visitor Services Manager, Paulina Tran, attended U.S. Travel Association's International Pow Wow (IPW) with Visit Santa Barbara in New Orleans, Louisiana. She conducted 40+ pre-arranged appointments with receptive tour operators, journalists, and travel agencies during the three day show with time to spare to network at evening events.
