Serving Up Sweets By The Scoop!

June Business Spotlight| Home Town Scoops

Orleans is Graced By A Young Entrepreneur

Fifteen year old Sadie Pagett had a vision, she knew she wanted to run her own business at the age of 11. It all started with Sadie's Sweets, that business was a success and and allowed her to develop what is now Home Town Scoops.

Setting Up Shop

 Sadie and her brother have grown up in Orleans, so that is the biggest reason in choosing to open up shop in the downtown Orleans area.

The amount of activities Orleans has to offer during the summer such as the farmer’s market and the concerts on the square brings a lot of people into town which was also a contributing factor in Sadie choosing to place her business in Orleans. It's no secret, that Orleans is top notch when it comes to locals supporting small businesses.

Serving Orange County

When asked, "What is your favorite part about owning a business in Orange County?"

Sadie replied with, "I get to serve the people I’ve grown up around, and the support that orange county gives small businesses is absolutely amazing."

How it all Began;

The passion for ice cream and receiving satisfaction for serving our community a premium ice cream is where the idea came from.

"Hometown Scoops is going to be a great way to learn more about how businesses work and better my personal skills." Said Sadie.

The Future of Home Town Scoops

The shop is staying consistently busy at their primary location, but Sadie and the family have already extended by putting their products at local concessions stands!

The goal for Home Town Scoops is to maintain the ice cream line, and then possibly expand their menu to add espresso and coffee beverages.

But, the biggest goal for Miss Sadie Padgett is to keep giving back to the community and reinvest profits back into her business.
