STAR Frontline Training

STAR Frontline Training | September 5 at 3:00 PM or September 6 at 9:30 AM


Enhance your skills as a tourism ambassador of Stark County! Attend a STAR Frontline Training session to amplify your knowledge of our destination, get tips on making recommendations for visitors, and ideas to implement at your own attraction.


This free training is valuable for business owners, managers, frontline staff, interns and volunteers alike. Our goal is to create a destination that is warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful so our guests leave happy and with a desire to return!


Attendees will receive access to the STAR Frontline Passport to experience Stark County attractions with a visitor’s perspective in mind!

Join us for a tourism conference! Details are shaping up for a half-day educational event which includes a luncheon with a keynote presentation plus a full afternoon of educational breakouts, networking, and and announcements on Visit Canton Marketing Co-Ops and Grant Programs for 2025.

Pigskin's Party at the Palace

Pigskin's Pals Kickoff to the Holidays Party | Wednesday, November 20


Families that earn 100 Points on the Pigskin's Pals Adventure Pass will score an invite to kick off the holidays with an exclusive Pigskin's Pals private movie screening with giveaways, mascot friends, and kid-friendly entertainment at the Canton Palace Theatre on Wednesday, November 20th.


Visit Canton Partners will be invited to participate in pre-movie entertainment, holiday goodie bags, mascot appearances, and promotional activations.

Host an Ohio Open Doors Event

September 6-15, 2024


Help Ohioans discover your community’s amazing heritage. Become a host site for Ohio Open Doors – a 10-day event when Ohio historic buildings and landmarks open their doors for special tours and events. Create a special event for your neighbors — think of your event as an opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors inside your doors to share your site’s unique stories.

Stipends are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizations with an annual budget of $50,000 or less, or three or fewer paid staff, are considered eligible to request a marketing costs stipend. Please complete the marketing costs stipend request form and accompanying W9 formNote: A signature is required on page 2 of the W9 form. 

Arts-related stipends, sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council, to add an arts component to your event like live music, a storyteller or other performer, or enhanced graphics. Please complete the arts related stipend request form and accompanying W9 form. Note: A signature is required on page 2 of the W9 form.
