Director's Message

May was an incredible month here in Coshocton, filled with milestones that highlight our community's growth and unity. As we step into June, the excitement of summer is palpable, bringing with it opportunities to connect, explore, and celebrate all that makes our town special.

On May 7, we celebrated the grand opening of the Coshocton Collaborative, a transformative project breathing new life into the historic Chacos Brothers building on Main Street. This $6.2 million investment has turned a long-vacant structure into a vibrant hub featuring coworking spaces, a maker space, and resources for budding entrepreneurs. It's a testament to our commitment to preserving our heritage while fostering innovation and economic growth in downtown Coshocton. In our ongoing efforts to support local businesses, we're thrilled to be part of the launch of the "Our Town Coshocton" Passport Program. This initiative encourages residents and visitors to shop locally, offering incentives for patronizing participating businesses. Each completed passport serves as an entry for a grand prize valued at over $1,000!

The program runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You can pick up your passport between 9–11 AM at Coshocton Village Inn & Suites.

With Father's Day approaching, it's the perfect time to utilize the passport program. Whether you're searching for the ideal gift, planning a family cookout, or seeking a special dining experience, our local retailers and restaurants have you covered. By choosing to shop and dine locally, you not only find unique offerings but also contribute to the vitality of our community.

A heartfelt thank you to all who have referred new members to our Chamber. Your support is invaluable, helping us grow and strengthen our network. Your contributions play a crucial role in our collective success.

As for me, I’m personally looking forward to enjoying the great outdoors—be it dining al fresco, savoring a refreshing beverage, or hiking through our beautiful parks. I'm also excited about moving into our new home, marking a new chapter filled with promise and community spirit.

New Herbal Greenhouse Grand Opening!

"As most of you know, herbs have been my passion and desire for decades. As a Certified Master Herbalist, with the opening of the Herb cabin, I was able to educate people on the many medicinal and culinary uses of herbs. Now with the opening of the herbal greenhouse, I am able combine my teaching and growing skills to offer healthy, live herbs and plants to people as well! I am so excited for this next chapter here at A Simpler Thyme!" -Julia Brown

The greenhouse is open daily from 10 AM until 6 PM.

Coming from Coshocton the best way to the greenhouse is straight out County Road 10 past the family salvage store then turn left onto Township Road 186. Signs are posted.

Gallop for the Glow a Success!

We are so incredibly grateful for your participation in our Courthouse Downs Gallop for the Glow fundraiser & Rare Bourbon Online Auction. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $2,050 from the online auction and $2,245 from the silent auction the evening of the event. We raised a grand total of $21,736 – a tremendous contribution that will make a lasting impact on our community and the Courthouse Illumination Project.

Mark your calendar for May 2, 2026, we're already on the hunt for the 2026 bourbon lineup and event sponsors! We would greatly appreciate your continued support in any way you can.Thank you once again for your generosity and for being a part of something truly special!
