Halibuts Summer Swim Team
CALLING ALL SWIMMERS ages 5-18! If you have always wanted to be on a swim team, but haven't had a neighborhood team to swim for, here's your chance!

As a developmental swim team, your child will have an opportunity to enhance and learn the four competitive strokes and swim in virtual meets during the season. In order to qualify for the team, each swimmer MUST be able to swim one length of the pool continuously without stopping. Swimmers can take a learn to swim class in May to brush up their skills. Halibuts details here.

Bike to Work Day - May 21
The Washington, DC region’s 20th Anniversary Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 21. This FREE event is a healthy and fun way to start your day. Even if you’ll still be working from home in May, get exercise by biking to a T-shirt Pickup Point (pit stop) and then back home to work for the day. The first 15,000 who register and arrive at a pit stop by bike will receive a FREE T-shirt. Staggered hours and a strict COVID policy will be in place. Herndon’s pit stop is on the Town Hall Green, just off the W&OD Trail, and it will be open from 5:30-10am and 4:30-6pm. Sign-up today!
Fun for all ages! Let’s play BINGO with your family and friends. Help to physically distance by reserving a table (max number of 6 people at a table/spot) under the pavilion or on the ground/grass around the pavilion. Who knows what kind of prizes you could win! The event will be canceled if there is heavy rain. Reserve a spot today.
We miss working with all the community groups to produce the Herndon Festival. We hope to be able to gather next year. Look for info here or visit herndonfestival.net for announcements about 2022.
