100 Acres Protected: The Zisko Tract Joins William Penn State Forest | | The view from the Zisko property | | |
Heritage Conservancy has helped permanently preserve the Zisko Tract, a nearly 100-acre forested property in Springfield Township that now becomes part of William Penn State Forest. The land sits within the largest contiguous forest block in Bucks County, helping connect the Cooks Creek Watershed to Nockamixon State Park for the wildlife that depend on it.
See how this project came together and why interior forest matters.

Download the brochure, brush up on your barn vocabulary, and hit the road.
| | New Deer Exclosure at Fuller-Pursell Nature Preserve | | Remember to keep this new gate closed and locked at all times. | | |
Overabundant deer are one of the biggest threats to forest health in the mid-Atlantic, and Heritage Conservancy just completed a new tool to fight back. The deer exclosure at Fuller-Pursell Nature Preserve gives native seedlings and understory plants the chance to grow undisturbed. Pop inside and take a look at what's being done.
Read more about the exclosure and why it matters for the forest.

| | Spring Carnival is Back Again at Croydon Woods | | Brave participants get to know AARK's animal ambassadors at this year's carnival | |
On May 15, the entrance to Croydon Woods Preserve buzzed with guided hikes, animal ambassadors, face painting, and a community passport that sent kids around the preserve to meet a dozen local partners. First responders, food trucks, and live music rounded out a FREE afternoon built for connecting families with nature, right in their own backyard.
See how the carnival brought the community to Croydon Woods.

"We both grew up in Southeastern PA and have built our life and business in Upper Bucks County. Keeping the farmland and preserved open space we cherish - and do not take for granted - pulled our focus to want to work with a strong organization walking the walk and talking the talk.
The past 23 years of our partnership with Heritage Conservancy have been a great journey of learning about land conservation and the environmental education programs they design and bring to our local classrooms.
That full circle of bringing their mission to our community is really important to us. We've even created a pollinator garden at our home and will add another at our office in Milford Township, having been inspired by the guided hikes and volunteering we have been part of.
As donors who give from both the individual and business sides, we truly believe this is one of the best investments we can make to ourselves, our business, our community, and the lands they all rely on."
