JULY LITKIT
THE GREAT TEEN READ

This month, we will be reading Booked for the Summer's June read, The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther.

It has been eighteen months since Meredith Fox lost her sister, Claire. It has been two years since she and her parents have been on the annual family vacation to Martha's Vineyard.

This year, seems like a good time to reconnect with family and friends, as her and her entire family are to gather for a big summer wedding and participate in the traditional Fox game of Assassin.

Meredith has decided to honor her sister's legacy and win the game, but when she teams up with a cute groomsman, all bets are off. Meredith is not only at risk of losing the game, but also her heart.

If you can't join us on Monday, June 27 at 6:00 pm at Defiance Public Library, then post your thoughts and opinions on our Padlet page called Dear YA Readers.

DEAR YA READERS
SQUEEZY McSQUEEZY

Ahoy, Ahoy,

IT'S SUMMER! That means - swimming, biking, being lazy, eating gallons of ice-cream, and or course, reading!

The library is ready for the Summer Reading Challenge: Oceans of Possibilities. The staff has worked tirelessly designing events (such Shark Week, DIY Axolotl plushies, and Clay Ocean Animals) as well as decorating the building with coral reefs, fish, and giant boats.

You really should stop by the library and check out all that we are doing, and of course, visit me.

Enjoy the snapshots of my friend and I scoping out all of the decorations.

Anchors away,

Squeezy
