2025 June E-News

Dear Members,

Please note that our office will be temporarily relocating to the Kentucky Career Center building for renovations, effective July 1st. During this time, the Chamber office will be by appointment only.

Rest assured, all events, ribbon cuttings, member visits, and off-site meetings will continue as usual. We will be operating under a hybrid work model, utilizing in-office time (by appointment) and reserved community spaces for collaboration.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our space. We will keep you updated on our return.

Sincerely,

The Chamber Team

Young Professionals Network

On May 14th, our amazing Young Professionals took time out of their busy schedules to give back to our beautiful Bardstown community!

Several dedicated Young Professional volunteers spent the afternoon picking up trash throughout town, helping keep our streets clean and our community beautiful. Their commitment to service shows exactly what makes Bardstown special - people who care deeply about our shared spaces and are willing to put in the work to maintain them.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated! This is what community leadership looks like, and we couldn't be prouder of our young professionals.

Spotlight of the Month

Kentucky Kingdom

The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize Kentucky Kingdom as the Spotlight of the Month.

Kentucky Kingdom Theme and Water Park is Kentucky’s largest amusement and water park in the heart of Louisville, Kentucky. Spanning 67 acres, it offers family-friendly entertainment with over 70 rides and attractions – including one of the region's largest selections of children’s rides, five world-class roller coasters, and two giant wave pools.

This season, they debuted Discovery Meadow: a vibrant, six-acre land designed specifically with families in mind. With three new rides, 25 re-themed experiences, updated dining options, shaded play zones, classic yard games, and original characters, this expansion brings a fresh wave of interactive, immersive fun to Kentucky Kingdom. Discovery Meadow will also feature four "wow" moments offering fans photo ops to capture the beauty of the new land.

Guests can experience even more fun ways to make memories worth repeating in an atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of Kentucky. “Discovery Meadow represents more than just six new acres—it represents our promise. A promise to the people of Kentucky that Herschend is here to stay, to invest, and grow alongside this park and this community,” said Andrew Wexler, president and CEO of Kentucky Kingdom’s parent company, Herschend. “Our multi-year investment reflects a belief not just in Kentucky Kingdom’s bright future, but in the families and traditions that make this place so special.”

Later this year, more details will be shared about the remaining $14 million in improvements— part of the total $25 million investment in Kentucky Kingdom—that will keep the park flying into 2026.
