Possibly in direct response to citizens and fire fighters win in LA County against LA RICS the Los Angeles arm of First Net, the new federal cell tower agency intent on blanketing every square inch of US Air with RF radiation, the wireless industry has crafted a bill to completely STRIP all local governments authority on cell tower placement based on a super short, air tight, shot clock. This over reaching piece of legislation actually passed the CA State Assembly by an enormous margin. Please call the following Senators on Mon. and tell them vote NO on AB 57!

A quote from the bill:
(b)The Legislature finds and declares that a wireless telecommunications facility has a significant economic impact in California and is not a municipal affair as that term is used in Section 5 of Article XI of the California Constitution, but is a matter of statewide concern.
AB 57 would deem approved an application for a wireless facility if a local government does not act prior to the deadline.

Volunteers needed in L.A.
We need volunteers in the Los Angeles area to talk with people at the LA RICS cell tower sites who will be exposed to the radiation if the towers go in. We have been VERY successful thus far in our door to door campaign, but are sadly short on people. Please contact me if you can do a cell tower site. You will need to be able to talk with people and hand them a flyer...that's all. Only takes 2 hours per site. We will train you and provide flyers.
